Mr. Bullins began his career in water and sewer utilities in 1995 with the City of High Point as an engineering technician in the drafting room of the Water and Sewer Mains Division of public services. Over the next few years he worked in all areas of the division learning all aspects of the jobs performed in Water and Sewer Mains. Mark also worked for the City of Winston-Salem for a few years in that city’s backflow prevention program. Mark came to the City of Eden in 2010 as the superintendent of Collection and Distribution (water and sewer mains).
Mark is a graduate of Rockingham Community College, with an A.A.S. in Environmental Science Technologies. He is also a graduate of South Stokes High School. Mark’s emphasis has been environmental compliance as well as systems maintenance and renewal. He has served since 2006 and continues to serve as a volunteer instructor in the systems operator’s schools for the NC AWWA. Mark is also currently serving in the AWWA/WEA WBOEE (Water Board of Education and Examiners) that reviews water distribution operators’ exams and questions.
Originally from the Meadows area in Stokes County, Mark has resided in Eden since 2013.
