Police Department

The department is committed to provide the citizens of Eden the best police service possible. We accomplish this by encouraging the officers to upgrade their skills on a regular basis.

Along with an excellent patrol division, we provide a highly trained and experienced investigations unit which includes narcotics investigations.

Community Programs

The department teaches the DARE core program to all fifth-grade students in Eden, focusing on the dangers of substances like tobacco, alcohol, and marijuana, while also educating parents about their children's peer environments to help build confidence and resistance to peer pressure.

The EKG program, presented by uniformed police officers, educates seventh-grade students about the legal, medical, and emotional consequences of gun possession and violence, while encouraging them to consider alternatives in gun-related situations to help prevent youth gun violence.

Neighborhood Watch groups work with law enforcement to monitor and protect communities by staying vigilant and reporting suspicious activity, helping prevent crime without taking on the role of the police. The department supports citizens in starting their own groups and offers assistance from officers at initial meetings.
