Toilets are designed for the four Ps:
- PEE
- POOP
- PUKE
- PAPER (toilet paper only!)
Anything else can cause backups on your property, problems at our treatment plant, or backups and overflows in between.
That’s why you must treat your toilets properly and not flush items that aren’t allowed.
Protect our sewers, please!
It’s not just trash in toilets that can be a problem. Anything not designed for the drains can cause problems.
Food waste, hair, and grease can bind together to clog lines either in your home or further down in our system.
Prescription pills and small plastic can also be a problem for the aquatic life downstream since it is not all removed, even in treatment.
When in doubt, throw it out, IN THE TRASH!
