Community Appearance Award

Community Appearance Award – October 2011

The Community Appearance Commission presented the October Community Appearance Award to Draper Elementary School.  This is the first time the award has been presented to a school. Principal Russell Vernon, along with the school staff, PTO, and parent volunteers, raised money and volunteered time to landscape the main entrance area to the school on Stadium Drive. The volunteers planted flowers, removed an old tree, put pine needles in the plant beds, and even created a fall seasonal display complete with pumpkins, hay and scarecrows, making the entrance both beautiful and inviting for students and visitors to the school. The Appearance Award is presented monthly to a business or organization that has made exterior improvements to their grounds or building.  Congratulations to Draper Elementary School for making Eden a more beautiful place to live, work and play!
